Pulse

We are KU Leuven “Pulse”, which comprises of multidisciplinary team across various disciplines such as Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Nanotechnology, Biostatistics etc. We are committed to developing and implementing sound scientific practices to accomplish the stated goals of the competition – continuous biosensing and monitoring of creatinine levels vis-à-vis acute kidney injury. We hope to achieve this by first examining last year’s work in detail, understand its shortcomings and areas of improvement. Then we would explore vast scientific literature to identify smarter ways of accomplishing the stated goals in a cost effective and reproducible way. Our target audience for this year would be high performance athletes and we hope our solution can help in injury prevention, strength, conditioning and peak performance. We are excited to part of this global student competition and hope to contribute in a meaningful way with our outcomes. We are grateful for this exposure and long live SensUs!
