We’re BioLinkLx, where the “Lx” proudly represents Lisbon, the fascinating capital of Portugal.

Our college, the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, has a legacy of participation in the SensUs Student Competition. This year, we introduce ourselves with a new name, but with the same values: to create innovative, precise, and user- friendly biosensors.

Recognizing the global challenge of chronic kidney disease affecting approximately 10% of the population, we are focused on developing an accessible and reliable device that ensures early detection and personalized treatment of this health condition.

Guided by our mentor, Beatriz Antunes, our multidisciplinary team of 14 students brings together expertise in chemistry, biochemistry, and biomedical engineering. Together, we are working hard to present our best work in August, in Eindhoven.
